Connecting Your Health and Fitness Apps with Thrive Bobby Caruso November 16, 2023 19:18 Updated To get a complete picture of your well-being in one place, we recommend connecting the health and fitness apps you use today with Thrive. This will allow you to earn activity points in device-enabled challenges, like Thrive's Walk for Well-Being challenge, as well as see how your average steps and sleep scores compare to what's considered a healthy benchmark in your Insights tab. And you don't even need to own a wearable device to track your activity! Thrive can connect to the following health and fitness apps: Apple Health, GoogleFit, Fitbit, MapMyFitness, Strava, Garmin, Withings, iHealth, VitaDock, and MyFitnessPal. How to connect to Apple Health If you're connecting your apps with Thrive through Apple Health, you have to make the connection from your iPhone*. Download the Thrive app to your iPhone, and from there, you'll be able to connect your Apple Health data using the following steps: Open the Thrive app on your phone and head to the Health & Fitness Apps tab in your profile which is the circle icon in the top right corner with either your initials or picture if you've customized that. Select "Connect Apple Health" in the Apple Health tile - this will open up your Health app. You'll now be prompted to allow Thrive to access your Apple Health data. For the easiest flow, click "Turn On All" to select the necessary permissions. Thrive only uses your activity and sleep data to update Challenges and provide you with Insights. Any data you provide is aggregated and anonymized, except for when specifically prompted to participate in competitive company challenges. . That’s it! Click “Done” and you will be redirected back to the page you came from. To disconnect your Apple Health, visit your Apple Health settings in your iPhone to manage your permissions. *If you're on Thrive on web or MS Teams when you try to connect your Apple Health device, you'll see this screen that gives you instructions on how to download the Thrive Global app: How to connect to Oura Ring Connect your Oura Ring to Thrive by following the steps below: 1) Open the Thrive website or app and head to the Health & Fitness Apps tab in your profile. 2) Select "Connect" in the "Oura" tile. 3) Enter your Oura log-in credentials. 4) Select what data you agree to share between your app and Thrive. Click accept, and then you're done! PS: You can also connect your devices in two other places: On the bottom of the Insights page, find the "Your Activity" section and click "Manage devices" If your company is running a company challenge that includes movement activity, then you can connect your device from the challenge page How to connect other health and fitness apps If you're connecting your apps with Thrive through anything other than Apple Health, you can connect on web or mobile using the following steps. 1) Open the Thrive website or app and head to the Health & Fitness Apps tab in your profile. 2) Select "Connect" in the "More health and fitness apps" tile - this will open up HumanAPI agreement to share your data with Thrive. As a reminder, Thrive only uses your activity and sleep data to update Challenges and provide you with Insights. Any data you provide is aggregated and anonymized, except for when specifically prompted to participate in competitive company challenges. 3) Select which health and fitness app you want to connect to from the available options. 4) You'll now be prompted to enter log-in credentials for the selected health and fitness app. Enter these credentials. 5) Select what you want to share between your app and Thrive. Click allow, and then you're done!
