Company Challenges: How can I create a private team?

If you’d like to keep your Company Challenge team limited to certain people, you can create a Private Team. Private Teams are invite-only. Your stats will still appear on the leaderboards and activity feeds, but only invited members can join the team. 

If Your Company Challenge is Featured:

1. Open Thrive, go to Challenges, and select the Discover tab.

2. At the top of the page, find the Featured Challenge card and click Sign Up 

3. First, enter your display name

4. Choose your participation method = 'As a team'
   
   Note: If the Challenge is team-only, this step will be skipped. Simply click Next after entering display name! 
   

5. On the Join a Team page, click on the “Create a Team” button to land on the Create a team page.
   
6. Fill in your team details:

   1. Input a team name

   2. (Optional) Upload a team logo or choose from Thrive’s preset options

   3. Choose Privacy Settings = Private (invite only)
      

      

7. Click Next, review the Challenge consent, then select Confirm and Join Challenge.

🎉 That’s it -- you’ve created a Private team! 

If Your Company Challenge is Not Featured

1. Open Thrive, go to Challenges, and select the Discover tab.
2. Scroll down to the 'Find a Challenge' section and click on the Company Challenge card
3. On the Challenge details page, click on the Join Challenge button.
4. Follow steps 3 and beyond from above to create a private team!

✅ Tip: Once your team is created, you can invite others to your team so that the people can join.
